不過，TheTechcnicalTraders.com的首席市場策略師Chris Vermeulen周二(6月8日)表示，去年的高點并不意味著是多年來的峰值，因為黃金仍處于長期牛市趨勢中。
Vermeulen表示:“我們預計上漲幅度在2700美元左右，基于目前的走勢，我認為可能在未來一到兩年內達到這一水平，這可能是最早的時間。”
股市方面，Vermuelen預計在當前的牛市周期中會出現上行突破，但他仍持有全部現金，直到出現明確的買入信號。
他表示:“我們仍持有現金，因為股市……技術指標仍表明，股市正在發出一種真正的中性、好壞參半的信號。”
